A well-thought out tutorial, with loads of helpful tips. Although I started quite late in life (I passsed my GFT on November 5th 2002 aged 58), I'm loving every minute of it. Having achieved my IMC and Night Ratings since then, I find the section on IFR especially of interest. The NDB item will be great for those struggling with the quirks of the RBI. I've recommended the site to a couple of students already, as well as the excellent FTO that took me through the learning process. My flying is done out of Manston (EGMH),and we're located for easy trips into France, Holland, Belgium and the Channel Islands.

I'm not taking any fligh lessons. I do get to fly with friends and would like to learn a few things about what they have to do to get the right to fly. So if it is OK with you I will stop by and see if I can learn some thing at my age. I'm a retired cross country truck driver.
